The focus of this lesson is really on verse 25. Felix became afraid when Paul began to talk about righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgement. The Gospel isn’t just the good news that Jesus loves and forgives you - it’s also the message that you must submit to Him as King and live accountable to Him as your Judge. So the goal of this lesson is to exhort people that if we reject accountability to Jesus, then we reject Jesus Himself. But if we accept accountability to Him, then He will teach us wisdom and lead us in the way we should go.
